We found an enthusiastic and willing buyer, so we agreed to sell Magus. The closing occurred on Wednesday September 2, 2026. Mike and his brother Pete returned their rental car that day, and stayed on Magus that night. The next morning, they left to sail Magus to her new home in Maryland.
As I write this, they have not quite arrived at their destination, but they have made very fast progress, entering the north end of the Chesapeake in 6 days! I was happy that Magus was prepared for the trip. I am curious if they will run into people that remember our previous visits to the area or otherwise have connections to us.
For now, we will enjoy being boat-less, but we are getting plenty of offers to sail with our friends, so we will have some time on the water. And we are swimming in Casco Bay when we can, and planning other adventures. Fair sailing, Magus!
